Ham Radio Highlights

The working ham station is offered with the home sale which includes an Icom 7610, Elecraft KPA 1500 HF amplifier, an Icom R8600 receiver, and an Icom 7100 combined with a Digikeyer for portable FT8 operations.

The HF antenna is a Scorpion vertical screwdriver with a large 24 foot hidden ground plane which allows for excellent world-wide HF usage at legal limit power. The owner achieved DXCC with the antenna and has since gone on to work over 220 countries since then on FT8 and RTTY. The station is very competitive in worldwide RTTY contests. The 2nd antenna is a 2/440 plus 6 meter Comet vertical capable of reaching all the Phoenix area repeaters and for general public safety and aviation monitoring. A 3rd and 4th antenna are 30” HF receiving loops.
